An overgrown back garden cleared, excavated and rebuilt into a new lawn and sandstone patio.
This back garden had been left to grow over: long grass, no clear patio area, and no real usable space to sit out in. The brief was a proper reset, a new lawn and a sandstone patio area that could actually be used.
Work like this follows the same groundwork every landscaping job gets: the old surface and growth cleared, ground excavated to the right depth, and a compacted sub-base built up in layers before any paving goes down. Sandstone slabs are laid on a full sharp sand and cement bed, primed with a slurry for proper adhesion, then jointed and washed down to finish. Where turf goes in, the ground underneath is prepared just as carefully so the lawn actually establishes properly rather than patching over old soil.
