Sandstone patio and garden lawn overview

HSH landscaping services

Practical landscaping for the way you use your garden

Choose a defined improvement or bring several elements together under one start-to-finish plan.

Choose by outcome

One point of contact for connected work

Garden projects often cross the boundary between trades. A new patio may need a step rebuilt, a lawn adjusted, fencing removed and a path reconnected. HSH can coordinate those practical details so the visible finishes and the work underneath share one set of levels and one sequence.

Harry discusses the intended use before recommending a material. That makes it easier to compare natural stone with porcelain, timber decking with paving, or a natural lawn with artificial grass without treating the most fashionable product as the automatic answer.

Patios and natural stone

Create a comfortable outdoor space with proper groundwork, full-bed installation and material advice that fits your garden.

Best for: This service suits new seating areas, replacement patios, side paths, routes between doors and sheds, safer garden steps and larger layouts that connect several parts of a garden. Harry can also combine the paving with brick edging, planters, turf, fencing or decking so levels and transitions are planned as one project.

Brickwork and raised planters

Add structure with garden walls, steps, edging and planters built on suitable foundations and tied into the wider layout.

Best for: Typical projects include raised brick planters, low retaining features within normal landscaping scope, boundary and dividing walls, step rebuilds, patio edges and brick detailing around pathways. Brickwork can be scheduled with paving, turfing or fencing so the foundations and finished levels do not compete with one another.

Fencing and decking

Improve privacy, boundaries and outdoor living space with carefully installed timber structures and sound support beneath them.

Best for: HSH installs garden boundary fencing, side-passage fencing, privacy runs, replacement posts, timber decking and connected steps or transitions. Combined projects can include paving, brick edging, planters or turf so that the final garden feels planned rather than assembled in separate stages.

Driveways and pathways

Create cleaner, safer routes with non-resin driveway surfaces, block paving and natural stone paths prepared around levels and drainage.

Best for: The service covers garden paths, side passages, routes to sheds and seating areas, block-paved or other agreed non-resin driveways, accessible layouts within normal landscaping scope and connections between patios, lawns and entrances. Resin-bound surfacing is not advertised by HSH Services.

Turf, artificial grass and garden bases

Prepare lawns, shed bases and garden structures from the ground up, with levels, drainage and intended use considered first.

Best for: This grouped service suits new lawns, partial lawn replacement as part of a wider renovation, artificial-grass areas, shed and greenhouse bases, gravel preparation and projects where a lawn, path and patio need to meet cleanly. HSH can sequence excavation and deliveries so the garden is not repeatedly disturbed by separate contractors.

How the services fit together

A hub for decisions, not a list of trade names

Use the individual service pages to understand preparation, inclusions and common questions. If your project combines several categories, send the whole idea rather than making separate enquiries. It is often more efficient to plan excavation, waste removal, deliveries and machine access once.

  • Residential work rather than corporate maintenance contracts
  • Start-to-finish scope where several elements connect
  • No resin driveway advertising
  • No hidden raw-material markup
  • Public liability insured up to £1 million

Service questions

Before you choose a route

Which areas do you cover?
HSH Services prioritises Horsham, Crawley, Billingshurst and Southwater. Cranleigh and wider locations can be considered for suitable larger projects. Send the postcode area and project outline so travel can be assessed.
Do you add a markup to raw materials?
HSH's approach is to show material costs clearly and not hide an additional markup on raw materials. Where agreed, you may be able to pay the supplier directly. Labour, disposal, plant and other project costs are still explained in the quotation.
Are you insured?
Yes. HSH Services has public liability insurance up to £1 million, as confirmed by the client on 11 August 2026.
Do you publish fixed working hours?
No. Project schedules can vary and Harry may work longer days or some weekends when appropriate. Enquiries are welcome through the contact form, phone or email without the website promising fixed on-site hours.
What helps you understand a new project?
Share the postcode area, the change you want, approximate dimensions, photographs of the work and access route, and any timing or access constraints. A site visit is normally needed before the final scope is agreed.
Do you offer resin driveways?
No. HSH advertises non-resin driveway and pathway options such as appropriate paving systems.
